I love the idea of this simple toy for babies but was horrified when mine fell apart during its first day of use. The six side pieces and ball present serious choking hazards when the toy doesn't stay together. We were able to repair it with some gorilla glue but buyer beware!More detail ...

Super Cute

I ordered this for a friend who was having a baby. I was there when she opened the box and we took it out and played with it a little. Its VERY well constructed. The colors are beautiful. The pieces seem to be a good size for small fingers but not so small as to be a hazard. Its a great toy. I wish someone had gotten it for my son when he was born. Maybe if I have another child I'll just buy it myself. :)More detail ...

Great first block set

My daughter has been chewing on this block set since she was about 5 months old. I'm not worried about them going in her mouth because Plan Toys uses non toxic dyes. The primary colors have something in them to make a noise when shaken the secondary colors have a piece of fabric on the outside for texture and the whitish blocks have a magnifying glass kaleidescope or mirror. My daughter has noticed the noise and shakes them near her head. She hasn't done much with the textured blocks (besides chew). She loves when I stack them tall so she can knock them down. She bangs them off one another to make a knocking noise or throws them on the floor. She has learned she can crawl around with one in her hand for a mobile toy. It's great because I can always hear her and know when she is on the move. Just a warning some of the colors rub off on light color walls. They are about 1 1/4 inches square. Terrible Quality

We got this on clearance at a little local toy store. We were excited to see it on sale because it was on our daughter's wish list here. The pieces are supposed to snap together and stay that way. A few did but there is one connector that won't stay and one that NEVER went in. We even went as far as trying hammers and pliers to try to squeeze it in. We really should have taken it back but instead we sort of prop it up against her doll house. Not a great solution but at least the sandbox and teeter-totter are usable.More detail ...

As always Plan Toys comes through

This is so cute. It's big for my 7.5 month old but she is already trying to walk. I searched for dimensions everywhere but no luck. If you need them floor to top of the handle is 20 1/2 " at it's widest it is 13 1/4" and it is 19" deep. The noise of the woodpeckers is nice. It's noticible but not annoyingly loud. I'm not sure how effective the mechanism is for slowing down the speed at which a baby can walk. It seems you can either let the wheels go all the way or not at all. I didn't find much of an in between. Very easy to assemble. I was disappointed that some glue was showing - its clear glue but just looks a bit sloppy. Overall I am very please and this is much nicer than some others out there. More detail ...

great toy

I bought this toy for my 18 month old son because we were heading on a 23 hour car journey. I searched high and low for toys that were compact and would provide maximum enjoyment. I bought approximately 10 different toys for him to play with throughout the trip. This being one of them. I can honestly say that this toy was the best of all the toys I purchased. He absolutely loves it! There is so much for little hands to figure out with the toy. My little guy loves to put things together and take apart so this was perfect for him. disappointingly cool

I love Plan Toys and have puchased many of them over the years. While I have been happy with most of their products once in a while we are disappointed. My son loves playing with the wooden train sets at peoples homes we visit so we wanted to start his own for Christmas. After looking all over I decided on this one because it was compatable with the Plan City roads which we also liked and would try to add to over time. First I didn't realize that all the tracks are not double sided like other wooden brands so that the pieces are flippable to make more configurations. Because of this you can really only build the included plan and not much else which doesn't make this set very versatile and my almost three year old (and his five year old brother) has to have help putting it together. Then during play the mountain tracks are bumped and easily knocked apart. The pieces are not very uniform in height and width which was disappointing and the included trees will not stand very well on carpet. In addition after only playing with the set a few times one of the curved tracks has already split apart (and my son is not a rough player). Overall it is a very cool set but definately for older children and if I'd realized how it compares to other sets we've seen I would probably not have chosen this one. The quality we find in most toys from this manufacturer was just lacking in the set we received.More detail ...

Adorable until the batteries run out!

Buyers beware! This toy is hysterical ... funny sounds great waddles and lots of fun. However its batteries CANNOT be replaced which means the toy is worthless in terms of sound once the batteries run out. This was a big disappointment for me as TOMY typically makes really great toys. Also watch how you store it in the toy box as the red connectors are easily twisted which prevents the ducks from following in a straight line.More detail ...
